A filling is material that is bonded to your natural tooth to restore it. To fill your tooth properly, we will first remove any decayed tooth material, file down uneven edges, clean the entire area, insert the filling material, and then shape the final appearance. This prevents bacteria from being able to enter the tooth again. Most patients tolerate the procedure well and quickly return to normal chewing.
A crown is a thin cover that fits over a tooth, to protect damaged tooth enamel. Dental crowns are shaped to look just like natural teeth and they can be made the same color as natural teeth.
An implant is another type of prosthetic tooth, used to replace a missing tooth. Implants function much like natural teeth, with a post that’s been inserted (and fused to) the jaw bone. The crown for the implant is matched to the other teeth in the mouth, so the color and shape is consistent with the surrounding teeth. Implants are maintained much like standard teeth, requiring regular flossing and brushing to stay clean.

Dr. Moore’s office is the best dentist office i think I’ve ever been to. Everyone was kind and calm. Kristen was awesome; she was super thorough with my cleaning and explained everything to me. Dr. Moore was the most down-to-earth dentist I’ve ever had–he was very easy to talk to.
